An introduction to Gold Dust Tacoma

I have been in the jewelry industry for a decade now, starting in 2011 at a modest, local custom jewelry shop. I have been designing custom fine jewelry, diagnosing repairs and performing appraisals for just as long.

I have extensive gemological and diamond training, certificates and accreditations. But more than any schooling could teach me, I learned from experience. It’s great to know the ins and outs of a diamond, but have you went into a shop to make a really important purchase and felt heard and seen? It feels so much better and there is so much more trust built, a real relationship beyond the item. This is what matters to me most.

I want to make sure that at my shop you are heard and feel like we understand what you want and need. My goal for the customer experience is for you to feel welcome, comfortable and informed. I want you to feel empowered to make the right decision for you.

I am here with my knowledge and experience to guide you through the custom design process and help direct you to what will work best given what your wishes are, while staying within your budget. I so appreciate being able to utilize as much recycled material as I can in a piece. It saves on cost, helps the planet and feels good!

To breathe new life into an outdated heirloom or wedding set or to use your mother’s gold to make your new ring are the kind of projects that really light me up! However, that is not to say that if you do not have recycled metals of your own to use, we cannot do all of the above! I only work with recycled, re-refined metals even if purchased brand new! Leaving a small footprint but big positive impact is important to me.

Quality over all else- in terms of the relationship & jewelry we build. Craftsmanship and attention to detail are what set custom jewelry apart from the mainstream “big box” stores. Every piece created, repaired, appraised or evaluated at Gold Dust Tacoma is done locally and with the utmost care and respect.

Finally, I really want to get to know you and learn about who is most important to you. Whether you come in the shop to have your jewelry cleaned and checked annually, a watch battery replaced every couple years or a custom piece designed just for you…Call me old fashioned, but I am here for all the human connection! There is just something special about coming in, sitting down and really being present. I am here for that. Your appointment is my priority. You are my priority.

I appreciate you taking the time to read about what lights me up! I cannot wait to get to know you!

THANK YOU!
